  • Memory Box Delivery – The smooth functioning of the online shop is critical. When a family experiences loss, they often turn to us for a Memory Box which is a vital tool for gathering precious mementos. Your role ensures the shop is secure and easy to navigate, meaning families (or those buying for them) can access these essential items without added stress or frustration during their darkest time.
  • Access to Remembrance – You ensure families can effortlessly download our Certificates of Life and personalized graphics and participate in remembrance projects like the Perpetual Flame.
  • Building Trust and Credibility – A professional, secure, and user-friendly website is essential for building trust with both the families we support and potential funders.
  • Funding Confidence – When grant providers and corporate fundraisers visit our site, a seamless and modern platform shows we are a credible, effective charity ready to steward donations responsibly.
  • Sustaining Our Mission – By managing the online shop efficiently you directly contribute to the financial health and sustainability of the entire organization.
  • Revenue Generation – The shop provides a steady, reliable source of income that funds our core charitable work, such as the donation of Memory Boxes to hospitals.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience with website design/CMS is obviously the most important requirement.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn WordPress and WooCommerce systems.
  • Product Management CRM expertise would be desirable.
  • Strong eye for design.
  • Good English and Maths.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and how it works.

What will you be doing?

  • Proven experience with website design/CMS (like WordPress/WooCommerce) and some knowledge of CRM would be good.
  • Strong eye for design, good organizational skills, and a commitment to keeping user data secure/GDPR.
  • The ideal volunteer will polish our new website designed by GrassRoots, make sure it runs smoothly and works accurately.
  • They may need to work with the Social Media Volunteer on developing some new pages such as a blog, monthly news page and possibly rolling campaigns to attract footfall to the site.
  • The online shop is in need of a lot of work and would be a priority as each year in May we hold an online silent auction.
