Location: Helsby (Primary Site) - Covering Stockport Sites

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE (possible shift allowance)

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: 38 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:00hrs, Friday 07:30 – 12:50hrs

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on manufacturing machinery and equipment
  • Give technical support on installation, commissioning, and projects across various departments
  • Work autonomously with the projects team on equipment upgrades and site improvements
  • Ensure minimal downtime and maintain production efficiency
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering and production teams
  • Follow health & safety procedures and engineering best practices

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Knowledge of PLCs, inverters, motors, pumps, and encoders
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and carry out electrical/circuit modifications
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong team player with good communication skills

Desirable Experience

  • Siemens PLCs and electrical fault finding
  • Extrusion knowledge
  • Temperature controlled systems knowledge
  • Adaptable to new systems, processes, and company growth
