The Knot Inn is a thriving family-run countryside pub with a rich heritage and a prime location for tourists, walkers and cyclists. We are known for excellent food and genuine hospitality and are looking for a creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen and take our menu to the next level.
The Role
As Head Chef, you’ll lead a motivated team, create a seasonal and inclusive menu, and showcase local produce. You’ll have hands-on responsibility for maintaining high standards, managing costs and inspiring the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update a creative, seasonal menu
- Plan daily and weekly specials
- Lead, train and motivate the kitchen team
- Maintain efficient kitchen procedures
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food hygiene and health & safety
- Manage food costs and contribute to profit targets
Requirements
- Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
- Proven kitchen leadership in a busy environment
- Supportive, inspiring management style
- Up-to-date knowledge of food safety (Level 3 Food Safety Award preferred)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Hours
