SJK Healthcare is urgently recruiting an experienced Respiratory Outpatients Nurse to support specialist respiratory clinics across NHS hospitals. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong respiratory knowledge and experience managing chronic respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting consultant-led respiratory clinics
  • Conducting respiratory assessments & clinical observations
  • Managing patients with conditions such as:
  • Asthma
  • COPD
  • Bronchiectasis
  • Interstitial lung disease (ILD)
  • Post-COVID respiratory complications
  • Pulmonary fibrosis
  • Supporting respiratory tests including:
    • Spirometry (if trained)
    • Peak flow
    • FeNO testing
  • Providing inhaler technique training & patient education
  • Supporting smoking cessation advice
  • Monitoring oxygen saturation & escalation where required
  • Coordinating follow-up appointments and telephone/virtual clinics
  • Accurate documentation in hospital EPR systems
  • Working collaboratively with consultants, respiratory physiologists, HCAs & AHPs
  • Requirements

    • Registered Nurse (NMC PIN required)
    • Minimum 1 year experience in Respiratory, General Medicine, or Acute Care
    • Experience with spirometry or inhaler education is beneficial
    • Strong communication and patient support skills
    • Confident working independently within busy outpatient settings
    • Ability to manage complex respiratory patient needs
    • You must live in the UK and have the right to work in the UK
