As a valued member of our music team, you will benefit from:

  • Opportunities to shape and develop the department: Play a central role in strengthening our music provision as the school continues to grow.
  • Career growth and development: Access to high-quality CPD, mentorship, and clear routes for progression.

We strongly encourage interested candidates to arrange an informal tour of the school. Experiencing our music facilities, dynamic learning spaces, and passionate staff team is the best way to understand our ethos. To arrange a visit, please contact the Head of School, Mr Clark, via email.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music confidently across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons rooted in secure subject knowledge.
  • Develop students' performance, composition, and listening skills through practical work and creative exploration.
  • Plan creative, carefully structured lessons that develop musical understanding, technique, and confidence.
  • Use effective assessment strategies to support progress in musical skills, knowledge, and creativity.
  • Differentiating teaching to ensure all learners—from beginners to highly skilled musicians—can access, enjoy, and excel in Music.
  • Contribute to a rich extracurricular programme, such as choirs, ensembles, concerts, school productions, or music clubs.
