Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Change Management
- Collation, completion and agreement of applications for payment
- Managing sub-contractor accounts
- Collating information for project reporting
- Assisting administration of project budget
- Preparation and management of the project budget
- Management of subcontractors in line with their terms and conditions, including assessments of application of payments and all other reporting requirements
- Value and agree the cost of any variations, both to customers and from subcontractors
- Estimate build up costs for each element of the work, identify labour, material requirements and source and obtain quotations where applicable
- Understanding of and supporting the commercial and contract management of the airport projects
- Taking responsibility for the financial management of projects with support and guidance from the Commercial manager, to include earned value and all reporting to the customer
- Cross border relationships with other BEUMER hub companies
- Protecting/maximising BEUMER returns on the projects
Qualifications:
- Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying
- NEC suite of contracts preferred
Experience:
- Ideally 3 years+ post graduate Quantity Surveying experience, airport baggage experience preferred
- Experience in building complex costing spreadsheets
- Extensive experience in Excel
- Understanding of NEC contract suite and contract mechanism
- Dealing with sub-contractors and the management of their contracts
- High level of commercial awareness
- Baggage handling projects awareness
