Worldwide Flight Services is seeking a Landside Transport Manager to support the current transport operation with the operational management and compliance of a major Road Feeder Service (RFS) network. You will be working under the guidance of the Landside Transport Manager, managing a team of 5/6 staff members and circa 40 trucks. You will act as the first point of contact for customers and main hauliers, with a strong focus on planning, customer satisfaction, communication, and overall responsibility for Transport operations.
Your main responsibilities on a day-to-day basis will include:
- Ensuring a coherent interface between every area of the operation to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Motivating and developing planners to equip them with the skills to manage their teams of drivers.
- Ensuring compliance with all Transport legislations and Health & Safety requirements.
- Being responsible for communication throughout the transport operation.
- Proposing and implementing changes to the operation to improve efficiency and/or levels of performance.
- Ensuring a secure and safe environment for team members and assets.
- Achieving efficiency through managing planning & controlling staff daily, and on an ongoing basis through objectives.
- Managing a team of approximately 60 drivers, along with planning teams.
- Ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved, including compliance, service, and financial targets.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and Company safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in managing the invoicing process in a high volume and complex environment.
- Ability to use IT systems to process, track and report activities.
- Good numeracy skills to handle payroll calculations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and multitask in a complex operational environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Focus on providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Comfortable in using the Office package, including Excel.
