As a Retail Account Manager, you will be at the heart of Heathrow’s retail experience, shaping how millions of passengers interact with our world-class shopping environment. This role will build strong partnerships with leading brands across Duty Free, ensuring every retail touchpoint delivers exceptional service and commercial success.
Act as Heathrow’s eyes and ears across the terminals, regularly visiting Duty Free retailers and partnering with Terminal Managers to deliver a best‑in‑class retail experience for every passenger. By combining data-driven insights with a passion for customer experience, you will identify opportunities to grow revenue, enhance operational standards, and bring innovative retail concepts to life.
Support marketing initiatives and category campaigns to maximise visibility and conversion. Identify and incorporate new opportunities, operational activities and work streams that maximise sales and service opportunities. Work closely with Retail Development and Project teams to ensure the delivery of both minor and strategic Terminal Retail projects on time and on budget. Manage timely and correct communications to necessary stakeholders. This also involves supporting new brand introductions and capital project readiness by aligning marketing, operational, and commercial needs.
Keep abreast of all Terminal developments and projects to identify and implement tactical opportunities, marketing promotions and joint initiatives to increase average transaction value. Drive key marketing initiatives to elevate the visibility, performance, and commercial impact of your category. You will lead joint planning activities with cross‑functional partners, proactively manage forward‑looking marketing calendars. Support the delivery of major category events and launches, ensuring campaigns and CRM activity land on time and with strong commercial focus.
Experience within Heathrow Retail or a high street/travel hub or Duty Free brand retail operations environment. Experience delivering projects which drive sales and passenger experience. Clear communicator and influencer: experience at influencing key decision makers and communicating with confidence at all levels. Strong financial and analytical skills. Proven influencing skills in a commercial and/or operational environment. A proactive self‑starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently. Ability to deliver challenging and demanding targets as well as being able to identify new tactical opportunities to grow revenue.
