As Rail Trainer Assessor Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening the capability, focus, and effectiveness of Heathrow Rail’s safety‑critical workforce. Through high‑quality, value‑for‑money delivery of technical, safety, and development training and assessments, you will ensure competence is achieved and maintained in line with the Competence Management System (CMS). You will evaluate role proficiency and the business impact of training and assessment activity, using insight and assurance to drive continuous improvement in safety, performance, and engagement. Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Deliver technical systems training and assessment, including safety and development, to ensure safety‑critical roles are competent in inspection, preparation, maintenance, and fault rectification. Design and deliver engaging, high‑quality technical and safety training tailored to delegate needs, aligned with standards, regulations, and working instructions. Assess individual capability and the effectiveness of training to support continuous improvement. Support the Technical Competence Lead by identifying performance trends, assurance insights, and value from training activity.

  • NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Information Technology literate, including proficient use of Microsoft packages.
  • Ideally, you will also have a Training Assessment and Quality Assurance Qualification.
  • Previous experience in training design and implementation.
  • Previous experience in designing and delivering competence assessments.
