As a Cyber Security Analyst – Aviation, you will play a key role in safeguarding regulated aviation security systems and protecting critical infrastructure that underpins safe and secure aviation operations. Working within a specialist security unit, you will undertake detailed analysis, technical evaluations and assurance activities to strengthen resilience across aviation environments. You will promote a Secure by Design approach across programmes and ensure compliance with aviation regulatory requirements, including the protection of computer rooms and data centres.
Responsibilities- Cyber Security Oversight: Assess, monitor, and enhance the resilience of regulated aviation security systems to ensure they meet security requirements and compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Liaison & Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, external aviation authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment on security best practices and standards.
- Secure by Design: Champion "Secure by Design" principles across the organisation to ensure that security is integrated at all stages of system development and implementation.
- Risk Management & Incident Response: Contribute to the risk management process to identify potential threats to aviation security systems and proactively mitigate risks.
- At least 3 years’ cyber security experience within aviation, a regulated environment or Critical National Infrastructure.
- Experience working with aviation authorities or regulatory bodies in compliance-driven environments.
- Hands-on involvement in securing critical infrastructure, including computer rooms and data centres.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across technical and operational teams.
- Strong understanding of aviation cyber security systems, regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Practical experience embedding Secure by Design principles into architecture and delivery.
- Confident communicator able to engage with engineers, senior stakeholders and regulators.
- Solid grasp of cyber security controls, risk management frameworks and modern security technologies.
