Job Description
In this role you will manage cyber security incidents from detection through recovery, lead response playbooks, deliver simulation exercises, and implement measures to improve resilience.
- Respond to cyber security incidents according to policy, plans and playbooks.
- Provide technical guidance to first responders.
- Communicate investigation findings to relevant units.
- Validate and maintain incident response plans and processes.
- Compile and analyse data for management reporting and metrics.
- Monitor information sources to stay up to date on attacks and trends.
- Analyse potential impact of new threats and communicate risks to detection engineering.
- Perform root-cause analysis and participate in root-cause elimination activities.
Essential Skills
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).
- Experience conducting root-cause analysis and using findings to inform remediation.
- Strong awareness of current threat landscapes and ability to assess new threats.
- Strong experience in cyber security operations, especially in an incident response role or security operations centre.
