Job Description

In this role you will manage cyber security incidents from detection through recovery, lead response playbooks, deliver simulation exercises, and implement measures to improve resilience.

  • Respond to cyber security incidents according to policy, plans and playbooks.
  • Provide technical guidance to first responders.
  • Communicate investigation findings to relevant units.
  • Validate and maintain incident response plans and processes.
  • Compile and analyse data for management reporting and metrics.
  • Monitor information sources to stay up to date on attacks and trends.
  • Analyse potential impact of new threats and communicate risks to detection engineering.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and participate in root-cause elimination activities.

Essential Skills

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).
  • Experience conducting root-cause analysis and using findings to inform remediation.
  • Strong awareness of current threat landscapes and ability to assess new threats.
  • Strong experience in cyber security operations, especially in an incident response role or security operations centre.
