Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy warehouse environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional with strong leadership skills, a commitment to health and safety, and experience managing warehouse operations, shipments, and materials handling equipment.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 6:00pm / Sunday to Thursday, 9:30am – 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise and prioritise daily warehouse workloads to meet operational deadlines.
  • Supervise warehouse activities, including inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Load and unload vehicles and containers safely and efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment as required.
  • Carry out warehouse administration duties, including receipt and booking-in of shipments using warehouse management systems.
  • Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Conduct regular warehouse inspections, health and safety checks, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain the physical security of the warehouse and its contents.
  • Liaise with warehouse staff, drivers, import/export teams, management, and third-party transport providers.
  • Assist with problem-solving and operational issues as they arise.
  • Maintain ETSF records and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Occasionally drive company vehicles for the collection and delivery of cargo.

Key Skills Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
  • Valid and current Forklift Truck Licence.
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accurate, methodical, and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational issues effectively.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and administration tasks.
