Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to support operations across their import, export, and fulfilment warehouses. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to a variety of warehouse and logistics functions.
Hours: SUNDAY - THURSDAY 8.30AM - 17.30PM
Key responsibilities will include:- Supporting daily warehouse operations, including picking and packing, shipment processing, bagging, labelling, and general administrative/computer-based tasks
- Carrying out general warehouse duties across multiple sites
- Collecting courier and cargo shipments from airport sheds (Full UK Driving Licence required)
- Completing general administration and filing tasks within warehouse environments
- Liaising effectively with other departments to maintain strong communication and workflow
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail at all times
- Ensuring excellent housekeeping standards and strict adherence to health and safety procedures
- Prioritising workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Working collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating a proactive and positive attitude
- Reporting all health and safety incidents, accidents, or near misses to the relevant line manager
- Undertaking forklift duties (training can be provided where required)
- Assisting with the general maintenance of vehicles and equipment, including cleanliness, inspections, and routine checks
- Carrying out ad hoc duties as required to support business needs
- Previous experience within an import and export warehouse environment
- Flexibility to work shift patterns
- Full UK Driving Licence (candidates must be over 25 for insurance purposes)
- Some experience completing export customs entries
- Intermediate level computer skills
- A strong motivation for personal and professional development
- X-ray screener certification
- Forklift licence
