We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Export/Import Operator to join their established and growing team based in Colnbrook.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced freight forwarding professional with strong air import and export knowledge.
Location: Colnbrook
Salary: £38,000 per annum (depending on experience and knowledge)
IMPORTANT: Strong Air Freight import and export experience is ESSENTIAL for this role. Previous Dangerous Goods experience is also ESSENTIAL.
Experience across sea and road freight would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing export and import shipments from start to finish
Handling Dangerous Goods shipments and ensuring all procedures and regulations are followed
Completing customs entries and ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations
Liaising with airlines, customers, overseas agents and internal departments
Preparing, checking and processing all relevant shipping documentation
Monitoring shipment progress and proactively resolving operational issues
Ensuring high levels of customer service and operational efficiency
Requirements:
Proven experience in freight operations, covering both imports and exports
ESSENTIAL: Previous experience handling Dangerous Goods within air freight
Strong industry knowledge and freight forwarding operational experience
Experience completing xohmjla customs entries
Good understanding of HMRC customs procedures and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments in a busy environment
Own vehicle required due to the office location
