We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pricing Operative to join our client's freight forwarding team in Colnbrook.

The role will primarily focus on Air Freight Export pricing and quotations, working closely with customers, airlines, overseas agents and suppliers to provide competitive and commercially viable rates. Experience across Ocean Freight and other modes would also be advantageous.
Dangerous Goods (DG) knowledge or experience is highly desirable.
Location: Colnbrook
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE
Requirement: Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage Air Freight Export quotations and RFQs.
- Obtain and negotiate rates with airlines, hauliers, carriers and suppliers.
- Calculate costs, margins and selling rates to ensure profitable pricing.
- Prepare and issue customer quotations within agreed timescales.
- Manage and follow up quotations to maximise conversion opportunities.
- Adjust pricing where appropriate to secure new business.
- Maintain accurate pricing records and quotation information using the in-house system.
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide a high level of customer service.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations and other internal teams.
- Assist with Ocean Freight and other freight quotations when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in freight forwarding pricing.
- Strong knowledge of Air Freight, ideally including export pricing.
- Industry and operational knowledge of Air & Ocean Freight, including inbound, outbound and cross-trade.
- Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
- Experience with costings, margins, mark-ups and pricing structures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet fixed deadlines.
- Proactive, commercially aware and customer-focused.
- Dangerous Goods experience/knowledge highly advantageous. xiskglj
