We are looking for a Transport Assistant to join our busy transport team. You will support the day-to-day coordination of deliveries and collections, liaising with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor driver deliveries and collections
- Track vehicles and monitor services
- Contact customers to confirm collections and deliveries
- Liaise with drivers, subcontractors and internal teams
- Answer telephone calls and monitor emails
- Update and maintain transport records
- Report any issues or delays to the Transport Manager
- Assist with general transport administration
Key Skills
- Good knowledge of London and surrounding areas
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Able to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Previous transport, logistics, administration or customer service experience is desirable
- Experience with transport management systems is an advantage
