We are currently working with an established international logistics business based in the Heathrow area who are looking to appoint an experienced Freight Sales Executive to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with experience within freight forwarding to take ownership of developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships and growing revenue across the UK and European markets. You will play a key role in identifying new opportunities and providing customers with freight and logistics solutions across air, ocean, import/export and warehousing services. This position is Monday to Friday. Salary: DOE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and targeting new business opportunities across the UK and European markets.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and key business contacts.
- Proactively generating new leads through telephone prospecting, email, networking, cold calling and other sales channels.
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate freight forwarding and logistics solutions.
- Preparing and delivering professional sales proposals and presentations.
- Working closely with internal teams and carrier partners to ensure customers receive effective and commercially viable solutions.
- Managing your sales pipeline and working towards agreed monthly and annual targets.
- Monitoring market developments and identifying opportunities for business growth.
- Providing regular updates and sales reports to management.
- Supporting the continued growth and development of the company's customer base.
We are looking for a confident and commercially minded sales professional who understands the freight forwarding and international logistics industry. You will ideally have:
- 2-3 years' experience within freight forwarding or international logistics.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or customer-facing roles within the logistics sector.
- Good knowledge of the UK and European freight markets.
- A proactive, self-motivated and target-driven approach.
- The confidence to develop new business and build relationships from the ground up.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building abilities.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
- A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to understand customer needs and find practical solutions.
