We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Customs Clearance Coordinator to join their customs team. This office-based role will primarily involve handling UK road freight import customs clearances, with some sea freight entries.
Location: Office-based
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 17:30
Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and submission of UK import customs declarations.
- Process customs entries through CDS using ASM Sequoia.
- Complete IPAFFS notifications for applicable import shipments.
- Review import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.
- Communicate with customers, hauliers, ports and government agencies to support the customs clearance process.
- Track the progress of customs entries and resolve any clearance issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate customs records in line with HMRC regulations.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service by providing timely updates and support throughout the import process.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a UK customs clearance or brokerage environment.
- Good understanding of UK import customs legislation.
