Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their growing logistics team. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in the full A–Z of freight forwarding operations, covering both air and sea shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the full cycle of export and import shipments globally, across air and sea freight.
- Prepare MAWB & HAWB documentation.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers to secure competitive prices and service levels.
- Provide accurate quotations and pricing for shipments.
- Arrange collections and deliveries in line with customer requirements.
- Manage all customs documentation, compliance processes, and shipment tracking.
- Liaise with clients, carriers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth, timely deliveries.
- Create and maintain accurate job files on the in-house system.
- Develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure a high standard of service.
- Send proof of exports/imports to clients and keep them informed on shipment progress.
- Support and cover import processes when required.
- Work closely with the sales and operations teams to coordinate daily activities.
- Provide administrative assistance and general business support as needed.
- Handle incoming calls and client enquiries professionally.
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in multimodal freight forwarding, with a strong background in both exports and imports.
- Solid knowledge of customs procedures and international shipping regulations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and meet tight deadlines.
- Operational and sales/business development experience is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with ASM Sequoia and CDS systems is preferred.
