My client is a niche shipping forwarder, seeking a road freight shipping coordinator to join their busy team local to Colnbrook.

Duties would include:

  • Handling road freight operations
  • Import and exports domestic European
  • Sending pre-advice
  • Monitoring shipments start-finish
  • Transport planning routes, scheduling delivery times and coordinating with drivers
  • Liaising with hauliers to provide quotations for special collections/deliveries
  • Updating customers
  • Invoicing
  • General admin/data entry

Skills required:

  • Experience handling road freight
  • Knowledge of European and domestic groupage
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • PC literate
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of EU Customs procedures
  • Commercially focused considering end-to-end costs
