My client is a niche shipping forwarder, seeking a road freight shipping coordinator to join their busy team local to Colnbrook.
Duties would include:
- Handling road freight operations
- Import and exports domestic European
- Sending pre-advice
- Monitoring shipments start-finish
- Transport planning routes, scheduling delivery times and coordinating with drivers
- Liaising with hauliers to provide quotations for special collections/deliveries
- Updating customers
- Invoicing
- General admin/data entry
Skills required:
- Experience handling road freight
- Knowledge of European and domestic groupage
- Ability to work well under pressure
- PC literate
- Good customer service skills
- Good geographical knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of EU Customs procedures
- Commercially focused considering end-to-end costs
