We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist with a background in customs or freight forwarding to join our clients team near Feltham. You will support freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics companies, helping them streamline import and export processes using specialist systems, within a supportive team environment. This person must be enthusiastic with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Location: Ashford, Middlesex Hybrid. Work from home Mondays and Fridays after 3 months.
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern between 8:00am - 7:00pm (early 8AM - 4:30PM, mid 9AM - 5:30PM, and late shifts 10:30AM - 7PM). 1 in 4 Saturdays required. Following a probation period (6-12 months), participation in an on-call rota (weekdays only).
Key Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of UK customs procedures or freight forwarding
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Hands-on experience completing import and export entries
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service
- Knowledge of Sequoia Software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Additional experience in import/export entries
