We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading freight forwarding companies for an experienced Air Export / Import Clerk to join their specialist Healthcare Logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 12 months’ freight forwarding experience who is looking to develop their career within a growing and highly respected organisation that genuinely offers long-term progression opportunities.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing air freight export and import shipments within the healthcare division, ensuring all customs, compliance, and operational requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling air export and import shipments from start to finish
- Completing customs entries and ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations
- Using CargoWise daily to manage shipments and documentation
- Liaising with airlines, customers, overseas agents, and internal departments
- Preparing and checking shipping documentation
- Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational issues promptly
- Ensuring all healthcare and compliance procedures are followed correctly
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year’s experience within air freight imports/exports
- Previous experience using CargoWise is essential
