Export Booking Clerk in Slough

We are recruiting for an Export Booking Clerk for our client based in Colnbrook, specialising in road and sea freight.

Location: Colnbrook

Salary: £30,000–£34,000 per annum

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and processing export bookings for both road and sea freight, ensuring shipments are arranged accurately and efficiently. This role would suit someone with experience in freight forwarding, export operations or logistics who is confident managing bookings and coordinating with customers and transport providers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing and managing road and sea export bookings.
• Liaising with customers, hauliers, shipping lines and freight forwarders to coordinate shipments.
• Entering booking details accurately onto the relevant systems.
• Checking shipment information, destinations and transport requirements.
• Monitoring bookings and keeping customers and internal teams updated on progress.
• Ensuring all booking information and documentation are accurate and up to date.
• Managing booking queries and resolving any issues where necessary.
• Providing general administrative support to the export operations team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics or export bookings would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of road and/or sea freight operations.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bookings and work to deadlines.
• Good IT and administration skills.

Please note: This position focuses on export bookings for road and sea freight. Customs clearance is not part of the role.
