We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fine Art Case Maker to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe transportation and storage of fine art and high-value objects for museums, galleries, and collectors worldwide.
You will be responsible for designing and constructing bespoke crates and travel frames that meet the highest standards of protection, security, and conservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and construct custom crates, travel frames, and protective enclosures for artworks and interior design items of varying sizes and materials.
- Interpret artwork specifications, including dimensions, handling instructions, and shipping requirements.
- Fabricate and assemble crates using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Install foam inserts, bracing systems, and internal fittings to ensure safe transit and object stability.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment in line with company procedures.
- Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and delivers excellent client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in woodworking, cabinet making, or crate fabrication.
- High level of accuracy in measuring and cutting materials.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Competence in the safe use of woodworking tools and machinery.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, typically 08:00 – 17:00 (including 1-hour lunch break). Overtime available depending on business needs.
