Import / Export Operator - Late Shift in Feltham

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Import / Export Operator to join their busy freight forwarding team in Feltham.

You will coordinate international shipments across air, sea and road freight, manage customs entries and documentation, and liaise with customers, airlines, hauliers and overseas agents. The role involves handling urgent, time-sensitive shipments, including aviation logistics.

Salary: £35,000–£42,000 per annum, including overtime and on-call hours, depending on experience, plus annual bonus and benefits.

Location: Feltham

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2pm–12am

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate worldwide import and export shipments.
• Arrange transport, collections, deliveries and freight bookings.
• Prepare UK import and export customs entries.
• Complete shipping documentation, including air waybills and bills of lading.
• Maintain customer communication and accurate shipment records.
• Support urgent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) movements and dangerous goods documentation where required.

Requirements

• Previous freight forwarding or import/export experience.
• Knowledge of UK customs procedures and shipping documentation.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.
• AOG or aviation logistics experience is desirable but not essential.
