The successful candidate will have strong export experience and be confident managing shipments from start to finish, ensuring all documentation, customs entries and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing air export shipments to China and Nigeria
- Working closely with the China export team and overseas agents
- Arranging UK collections and liaising with hauliers/couriers
- Completing port entries using CDS/Sequoia
- Ensuring all export documentation and shipment records are accurately maintained
- Handling transhipments for Nigeria
- Ensuring shipments are completed compliantly and within required timescales
- Managing invoicing requirements and AEO/compliance procedures
- Supporting, mentoring and training colleagues
About you:
- Previous experience in air freight/export is essential
- Experience with customs procedures and CDS/Sequoia
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with aircraft parts or dangerous goods would be advantageous
