Pertemps are excited to be working with a top Automotive manufacturer. They are seeking skilled Automotive Polishers to join the team. This role requires solid expertise in sanding materials and polishing processes.
Salary: £31,000 (DOE) + 15% shift allowance
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm (subject to business needs)
Location: Dagenham, London
Responsibilities:
- Operate machine polishers and perform detailed hand polishing as required.
- Adhere to and suggest improvements in established processes, enhancing overall product quality.
- Ensure deadlines are met to support high productivity.
- Comply with our client's Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Collaborate closely with the paint department to troubleshoot and resolve any quality issues.
- Complete all required documentation in line with build instructions.
- Proactively identify potential obstacles, offering solutions and implementing long-term fixes alongside the team.
- Undertake additional tasks as requested by management.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in quality improvement and continuous improvement practices.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Proven experience with paint defect correction, paint thickness measurement, and finishing techniques; automotive trade certification in machine polishing or detailing is preferred.
