About This Role

M Group are seeking an experience Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Aviation Heathrow team.

This is an excitingopportunity to play a key role in delivering essential infrastructure projectsacross Heathrow Airport, managing the commercial and financial aspects ofprojects while supporting the development of junior team members.

You will work collaboratively withclients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget, whilst contributing to the continued success ofa diverse portfolio of civil engineering and building schemes.

  • Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial and financial aspects ofmultiple projects
  • Oversee cost management, procurement activities, and contract administration
  • Prepare financial reports, cost reconciliations, forecasts, and progress reports
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, includingcost overruns and programme delays
  • Build and maintain strong relationships withclients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Support, mentor, and develop junior surveyors and APC candidates
  • Promote commercial awareness and ensure compliancewith company governance and procedures
  • Contribute to work-winning activities andcollaborate with pre-contract teams
  • Support resource planning and project reviews
  • Work alongside Contract Services and Insuranceteams to resolve disputes and pursue recoveries where required.
  • Participate in executive and project reviewmeetings
  • Promote behavioural programmes and ensurecompliance with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
  • What You'll Bring

You are a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor with experience delivering successful projects within civilengineering or other safety-critical environments.

You have excellentstakeholder management skills, enjoy mentoring others, and can confidently managecommercial performance across a project lifecycle You'll be proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes whilemaintaining strong client relationships What You’ll Bring Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline MRICS or CICES accreditation (preferred)Experience working within civil engineering, aviation, rail, highways, or other safety-critical sectors Strong commercial acumen and contract managementexperience Proven ability to negotiate and resolve commercialdisputes Knowledge of cost estimation and commercialreporting techniques Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Excellent analytical, communication, andnegotiation skills Experience providing specialist Quantity Surveyingadvice on large and complex projects Ability to influence and collaborate effectivelywith stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
