Cobalt Ground Solutions are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join their busy and dynamic team in Heathrow Airport. As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for keeping the ground service equipment (GSE) fleet operational. The work involves dealing with breakdowns and repairs, also scheduled servicing and maintenance.

About You

Successful applicants will be required to provide checkable and reliable references (education and/or employment) for the last 5 years, and will be required to provide references to cover any gaps in employment. You must have a full UK driving licence (max 3 penalty points). All positions work a rotating shift pattern across a 7-day working week, with a mix of early and late shifts, so flexibility is essential.

In addition you should have:

  • City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Plant or heavy goods vehicle training
  • LGV UK driving licence an advantage
  • Experience of both diesel and electric vehicles, hydraulics and welding
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
  • Experience of a busy workshop
