Project Support Engineer

About The Role

The AtkinsRéalis Project Delivery Practice has an exciting portfolio of projects and seeks an experienced Project Support Engineer to join their team.

The team provides support for various systems including CCTV, CPQM, CARZ, Xovis, Crowdvision, BWC, ANPR, TDOC, and others. They focus on fix-on-fail support on edge devices like Xovis and Genetec applications, acting as systems integrator.

This role is vital for project delivery where these systems are impacted or expanded on campus, with ongoing and upcoming projects.

The position is 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, requiring on-site presence at the airport for at least 5 days/week, with occasional night shifts depending on project needs.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Follow project processes and standards.
2. Manage project information in systems.
3. Oversee AtkinsRéalis suppliers, ensuring process adherence.
4. Assist in identifying future demands and resource planning.
5. Produce reports and maintain project documentation.
6. Ensure smooth project handovers with accurate \’as fitted\’ documentation.
7. Coordinate with planning, construction, and clients as needed.
8. Meet with clients to discuss requirements and project scope.
9. Collaborate with internal groups for project success.
10. Assist in producing work packs and manage updates with Framework Partners.
11. Participate in progress meetings and represent AtkinsRéalis IT interests.
12. Provide documentation post-completion for ongoing support.

About You

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated team player.
• Significant experience in Telecoms or Networking support.
• Knowledge of enterprise telecom services.
• Experience in aviation, especially Heathrow, is a plus.
• Knowledge of network products and deployment experience.
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN, wireless, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
• Minimum 2 years operational experience in IT, Network, or Engineering.
• Educational background to C&G, HNC, or A-level standard.
• Experience with MS Office tools; training on specific applications will be provided.

Security Clearance

This role may require security clearance, contingent on UKSV vetting, including proof of UK residency for 5+ years. Do not mention current or previous security clearances in your application.
