The Internal Campaigns and Issues Manager will support the Senior Internal Campaigns Manager to build a campaigns programme for internal communications for the year, as well as supporting on issues and ad-hoc projects that will impact Heathrow’s reputation and require a substantive communications response.

They will join working groups and meetings with external communications agencies to support the production of campaigns or issues management, led by the Senior Internal Campaigns and Issues Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Senior Internal Campaigns Manager to build a forward-looking plan for proactive and reactive communications campaigns and issues management for the year.
  • Working with key stakeholders across Heathrow to understand key issues and projects.
  • The ability to plan, coordinate and deliver campaigns working with external agencies when needed.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and other communications efforts and work with the Senior Campaigns Manager to produce reports as required.

Required to do “H2H” and “R2H” shifts during the year, as set out annually by the company policy. The Role Holder will be part of a ‘one communication team’ approach, demonstrating the flexibility to operate within different functional teams as the need arises.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Communications role, preferably with some experience working in a similarly demanding or comparatively sized organisation at mid-senior level.
  • Experience of composing and delivering communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong analytics and measurement experience.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills and experience at a senior level.
  • Strong writing abilities.
  • Project management and organisational skills.
