As the Senior Category Manager for HR & Business Services, you'll be responsible for directing the Procurement agenda for our People team and functional directorates, building great relationships and delivering 'best-in-class' procurement. This is an exciting role, overseeing tens of million-pound procurement spend with companies that are strategic to Heathrow's success. You'll work closely with colleagues delivering business priorities, identifying new opportunities that continuously deliver value to the business, creating robust sourcing strategies, managing risk through your contracting and effective supplier relationships.
Responsibilities:- Leading and innovating procurement strategies across HR & Business Services, leveraging market-leading technologies and commercial models to deliver competitive advantage and drive value for the business.
- Managing end-to-end strategic sourcing and robust contract management processes, ensuring compliance with governance and regulations whilst maximising commercial opportunities and mitigating risks.
- Engaging with external markets to identify and embed best practices, encourage continuous improvement, and promote innovation that adds tangible value beyond adherence to process.
- Overseeing supplier relationship management, performance monitoring, and coaching of business owners and team members to ensure contracts deliver on objectives and continuous improvement targets.
- Line Management responsibility of 2 direct reports.
- Post-qualification procurement experience in HR & Business Services procurement with a Commercial and Contractual bias.
- Clear understanding of Professional Services contract terms and conditions and the ability to negotiate them, ideally demonstrable experience in a variety of Procurement and Contracting models including Framework and Services Agreements.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in an integrated project team involving supplier partnering organisations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analytics.
- Ideally, you'll also have professional qualifications e.g., MRICS, CIPS, MBA, MSC.

Working Location: Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
