The purpose of the Aviation Team is to maintain Heathrow's global competitiveness – working with airlines to strengthen the hub status and connectivity of the airport. This is done through developing our long‑term strategy, ensuring the voice of the customer is represented in decision making, and supporting the wider team to develop and maintain successful relationships with airline customers.
Responsibilities
- Developing the holistic Aviation strategy to maintain Heathrow's global competitiveness and further refine strategies across pricing, network, cargo, and account management.
- Lead planning activity to translate strategic intent into executable plans for the Aviation team, working closely with the wider Aviation Team and supporting in course correcting and refining strategies.
- Support strategic thinking around long‑term strategy and ensure Aviation agenda and airline views are represented in Expansion plans.
- Support in developing high quality materials to be shared with airlines to support strategic conversations.
- Produce exec‑ready content that cuts through complexity to cleanly and persuasively articulate strategic direction and path to value.
- Ensure account management teams are equipped with high quality strategic content for customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Experience in developing, communicating, and implementing impactful strategy.
- Previous experience in the aviation industry.
- Articulate with excellent writing, presentation, and data visualisation skills.
- Excellent communicator, able to cut through complexity and tell the story behind the numbers, using data to drive decision making and make compelling arguments.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Understanding of economic regulation / regulated environments.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
