The predicted salary is between 58500 - 71500 £ per year.
You will support the delivery of the Groups treasury related statutory reporting requirements and provide technical support for all financial instruments, while maintaining excellent working relationships with Treasury, Tax, Central Finance and Business Services teams through strong relationships, ensuring transparent, timely communication.
This position sits within our Financial Control function and reports directly to the Head of Finance, Treasury Control, working closely with finance leaders and external stakeholders and auditors to support Heathrow's funding, financial resilience and statutory reporting.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team that supports colleagues including Treasury teams with day-to-day guidance and support, agreeing prioritised work plans, and related treasury KPI’S.
Success in this role means providing accurate, insightful financial information to finance leaders, anticipating market trends for mark-to-market valuations, and ensuring statutory annual reporting process on hedging and treasury related footnotes and disclosure are fully compliant with external reporting and audit requirements.
Please note this is a 6 month FTC.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver clear, accurate investor communications, including presentations, reports, and market updates aligned with Heathrow's funding strategy.
- Maintain strong relationships with TM&L team, Treasury Operations team with day-to-day guidance and support, agreeing prioritized work plans, setting processes and related KPI'S.
- Review methods employed in accomplishing duties and suggested enhancements, improvements and automation that will improve job performance.
- Monitor market developments, mark-to-market valuations, and financial markets to provide timely insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support the preparation and execution of debt issuance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Treasury, Corporate Finance, and Communications, to ensure consistent and transparent messaging across all treasury related activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of treasury accounting and reporting to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in finance, treasury, statutory reporting within complex organisation or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of debt capital markets, financial instruments, and credit rating processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and external auditors and partners.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and Microsoft Office applications.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA) with 4+ years in a FTSE 250 company.
- Experience with providing technical treasury accounting advice is a distinct advantage.
- Treasury/banking experience (from within a treasury team, bank, or audit) desirable.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
