Job Description
In Financial Reporting we are looking for qualified Financial Accountant to support us in delivering high quality external reporting to our stakeholders with professionalism and using efficient automated processes and best practice governance.
Responsibilities
- Managing the preparation, audit, review and signing of the Annual Report and Accounts (ARA) for 5 Groups including the Strategic and Governance Reports and the Financial Statements.
- Managing the Statutory Accounts process including timetables and planning, chairing daily reporting and audit calls with all stakeholders and preparation, review and signing of accounts.
- Key contact for external auditors and managing and planning all areas of the audit process for half-year and year-end and other ad hoc audits as necessary.
- Preparation of the Regulatory Accounts and other regulatory documents including managing the associated planning, audit and signing process.
- Preparing and reviewing accounting and reporting papers for the Audit Committee and Board and managing the timely submission of all quarterly Audit Committee papers.
- Managing financial reporting internal controls.
- Leading projects to document and improve reporting, processes, and controls and to resolve financial reporting matters that arise in the business.
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA qualified or similar.
- Knowledge and experience of Group/Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting standards – IFRS, UK GAAP, FRS101 and FRS102.
- Exposure to or experience in external audit.
- Excellent attention to detail.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You\’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
