Job Description
We\’re looking for a commercially minded and collaborative Finance Manager – Business Planning to join our team. In this role, you\’ll play a key part in delivering Heathrow\’s short-term financial planning and forecasting, driving automation in planning systems, and owning people cost modelling to enhance accuracy and insight. You will also manage a small team of Finance Analysts, providing leadership, guidance, and development.
Responsibilities
- Leading short-term business planning and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and financial targets.
- Owning and developing people cost modelling, providing accurate workforce cost forecasts and insights to support business decisions.
- Driving system automation and process improvements for planning and reporting outputs, enabling faster, more accurate, and efficient delivery.
- Producing high-quality financial analysis and commentary, including variance analysis, scenario modelling, and performance insights.
- Collaborating with Finance Business Partners and operational teams to challenge assumptions, validate inputs, and ensure plans are realistic and deliverable.
- Managing and developing Finance Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting their professional growth.
- Ensuring governance and integrity of financial data, maintaining consistency across planning tools and outputs.
Qualifications
- A finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering.
- Proven ability to deliver process improvements and drive system automation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- Previous experience managing or mentoring team members.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You\’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
