We are looking for an experienced Procurement professional to join our team with responsibility for managing procurement activities relating to our Carbon and Sustainability work. You will support our team in achieving our ambitious sustainability target of reaching Net Zero by 2050, making Heathrow a great place to live and work.
Managing multiple, concurrent projects in a fast-paced and dynamic category, you will manage the sourcing, procurement, contract assurance, implementation and post-contract management activities. You will support the creation and delivery of pre-contracting strategies, supplier negotiations, drafting and executing Goods & Services Framework Agreements, Work Packages and Standalone Agreements; making contractual amendments and supporting the Procurement governance process. You will co-ordinate end-to-end procurement management with a focus on Supplier Relationship Management and Sustainability. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will drive value for Heathrow to maximise delivery, minimise risk, delivery of benefits to the organisation through cost saving, fostering supplier relationships and improved operations.
Responsibilities:
- Owning the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including owning the Supplier Relationship Management process for key stakeholders.
- Delivery of robust contractual documentation including drafting and negotiation.
- Maintaining well-informed effective category plans and developing strategies which will be presented to relevant senior stakeholders, using creative commercial models, market leading technology and trends that will drive regulatory compliance and a competitive edge for the business.
- Executing sourcing activity in line with Heathrow governance procedures, driving best in class behaviours.
- Maintaining established processes for supplier management, claims management, benefits and savings and continuous improvement targets whilst meeting all contract, regulatory, risk-reward and exit strategy requirements.
Qualifications:
- Evidence of working in a similar procurement role with responsibilities spanning both pre and post contract.
- Proven experience in a variety of Procurement and Contracting models and environments using a range of reimbursement models.
- Aptitude for delivering multiple projects to meet business affordability targets and achievement of Key Performance Indicators through strong Supplier & Stakeholder Relationship Management.
- Demonstrable Contract and Supplier Relationship Management experience.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Experience with contractual documentation including bespoke contracts, NEC based or similar industry standard contracts and relevant negotiation and drafting.
- Working towards professional qualifications e.g. CIPS or willingness to commit to pursuing development and training.

Working Location:
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You will need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
