As a Senior Finance Business Partner at Heathrow, you play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy that underpins the airport’s success. You will provide insightful financial support to our Development team, helping to inform, influence, and challenge key business decisions. Working closely with directors and senior leaders, you will deliver pragmatic, hands-on financial guidance across a diverse portfolio of capital programmes and projects.

You will build strong, day-to-day partnerships with your stakeholders, while also contributing to longer-term strategic priorities. In this fast-paced and complex environment, you’ll be a trusted advisor, offering sound judgement, constructive challenge, and clear financial insight.

Working Location: Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience
  • Knowledge of capital investment appraisal and business case development
  • Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Oracle ERP skills
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex information clearly
  • Track record of delivering results in a dynamic environment
  • Business Partnering, Commercial or FP&A experience

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Experience within a relevant industry
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and impacts on financial planning

Business Partner with the relevant department up to Director level to influence delivery of financial plans aligned with business strategy and provide value adding insight and analysis. Develop capital investment appraisals (IRR / NPV analysis), challenging the cost base and its drivers, evaluating options, review the financial modelling and present for business reviews. Work in collaboration with the Programme Management Office to produce management business plans, budgets and reforecasts of specific capital programmes. Identify risks & opportunities to the budget from capital programmes and recommend mitigation strategies. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting practices. Oversee financial assurance activities and funding queries for capital programmes.
