As a Salesforce Architect, you will define and drive the Salesforce architecture and roadmaps to align with Heathrow’s IT strategy. You’ll provide governance, technical leadership, and architectural oversight across a complex, multi-cloud Salesforce landscape. You will influence CRM, Data & AI, and Digital Commerce initiatives with a strong focus on integration, security, governance, and platform quality. Responsibilities
- Articulate and implement the Salesforce architecture and roadmaps to support business priorities
- Provide governance, advisory leadership, and technical authority across HAL IT teams and partner networks
- Own and govern Salesforce architecture, setting standards and guiding delivery teams
- Design and govern integration patterns, security, resiliency, and observability across platforms
- Lead technical decision-making in Apex, LWC, data, security, and DevOps, driving continuous improvement and debt reduction
- Support end-to-end architecture for CRM, Data & AI, and Digital Commerce initiatives, including complex multi-cloud scenarios
- Communicate architectures and roadmaps effectively to stakeholders with clear, actionable outputs
- Ensure platform quality and alignment with business goals through architecture governance and best practices
- Advise on modernisation efforts and complex problem solving in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Manage relationships with HAL IT teams and third-party partners to maintain coherence of IT initiatives
Key requirements
- Proven Salesforce Architect with experience delivering large-scale enterprise programmes and multi-cloud solutions
- Deep expertise in Salesforce Core (Sales Cloud and Service Cloud), including contact centre architectures
- Strong enterprise integration experience and ability to govern complex interfaces and cross-platform solutions
- Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce platform aspects (data modelling, security, performance, Apex, LWC, Flows)
- Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and SDLC governance with solid stakeholder management and communication skills
- Desirable: knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, and AI-driven engagement; Commerce Cloud and omnichannel architectures; Marketing Cloud architectures
- Salesforce Architect certifications (ideally CTA) or active progress toward CTA, with track record of platform modernisation and debt reduction
