Role Description The Domestic Gas Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Crondall. The Domestic Gas Engineer will install, service, and repair domestic gas appliances and central heating systems, ensuring safe and compliant operation in residential properties. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance, carrying out LPG and natural gas work where applicable, and completing accurate service reports and documentation. The role also involves working closely with the helpdesk and other team members to schedule visits, respond to customer queries, and deliver courteous, professional service on-site. The Domestic Gas Engineer will follow all relevant safety regulations and company procedures while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications
- Experience in central heating installation, servicing, and fault-finding, including boilers, radiators, and associated controls.
- Competence in general plumbing work, including pipework, fixtures, and system upgrades in residential properties.
- Ability to perform building maintenance, maintenance & repair tasks related to heating and plumbing systems.
- Relevant industry qualifications such as Gas Safe registration and recognized plumbing or heating certifications.
- Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to customer sites in and around Crondall and Surrey.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safe working practices.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
