We are delighted to partner with a leading Property business in London to appoint a Fire Safety Manager. This is a hybrid role and your time will be split between the office, visiting sites and working from home. The company's Head Office is located in North London. My client is happy for the successful candidate to be based anywhere in England, provided they can commit to attending the office two to three days per week and travel to residential sites across England. The remaining days can be worked from home. The salary is up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit third party fire risk assessments
  • Support on all fire safety matters and ensure compliance with fire and building regulations
  • Liaise with third party fire risk assessors/contractors and ensure that the repairs are being carried out
  • Maintain fire safety compliance across the property portfolio, draft reports, and advise on policies and procedures
  • Ensure third party agents are complying with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021 and Building Safety Act 2022
  • Provide technical Fire Safety advice, complete site inspections on residential blocks and support the Fire Safety Director

Experience:

  • A good understanding of fire legislation and experience completing and auditing fire risk assessments
  • Fire Safety experience in the housing sector, on residential blocks and HRRB's
  • Knowledge of PAS 79, BS9991 and Approved document B
  • Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety or a NEBOSH Fire Certificate
  • Experience in the Fire Service (Desirable)
