We have an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP at Heathfield Family Centre. This can be a full time or part time role. Salary is dependent on experience. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
Main duties of the job
- Clinical Duties & Responsibilities
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeats prescriptions, dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation. Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health. Providing counselling and health education. Admitting or discharging patients to and from the case load and referring to other care providers as appropriate. Delivering enhanced services. Compiling and issuing computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions. Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary or generically whenever this is clinically appropriate. Undertake regular clinical audits and completing audit cycles. In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

- Taking responsibility for their own development, learning, performance and demonstration skills also involvement in activities to others who are undertaking similar work.

- Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree Qualified GP MRCGP - General practitioner certificate of completion of training CCT Full GMC registration.
