We are seeking a proactive, organised and meticulous administrator to work alongside our Annual Review Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of the EHCP annual review process. In addition, the successful candidate will manage a number of key daily tasks relating to student attendance.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • A methodical and diligent approach;
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to a varied audience;
  • Ability to work to deadlines/under pressure;
  • Ability to engage empathetically with families;
  • A team player;
  • Positive and engaging attitude.

A knowledge of school and SEND terminology would be advantageous, as well as an understanding of autism, although not essential as training will be provided.

This role involves:

  • Preparing and distributing accurate EHCP annual review documents within legal deadlines in line with the annual review schedule.
  • Attending EHCP annual reviews and completing high quality meeting minutes within required timeframes.
  • Accurately maintaining and updating the annual review schedule.
  • Liaising with parents, Local Authority representatives and school staff.
  • Sharing EHCP and annual review information with relevant school staff.
  • Accurately completing the school’s registers and following up with parents when students are absent.
  • Managing student planned absences.
  • Filing and archiving.
  • Organising the attendance awards and termly attendance certificates.
  • General administrative tasks when required.
