Our country house hotel is in the village of Ainstable, a mile and a half from Armathwaite, and midway between Carlisle and Penrith in the Eden Valley. Our ethos is to serve excellent English country style dishes, delivered with warm and friendly service. Head Chef David leads a small but dedicated team taking great pride in using locally sourced produce. Our Head Chef needs an extra 'pair of hands' to join his team, and we are happy to meet and chat with you whatever your level of experience.
Hours can be flexible, with the main day to assist being Thursday in food preparation, getting ready for restaurant open hours over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will also be the opportunity for hours Monday to Thursday for private bookings and weddings.
This position would ideally be for a couple to live here in their own apartment, working with us, and helping with housekeeping, ground work and front of house. Salary is very much subject to ability, and if taking a live-in role.
