We are recruiting for one of the largest and most well-established Machine Tool companies in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Applications Engineer to join a reputable and growing organisation.
About the Role:
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with expertise in the Machine Tool industry, particularly in turning machines. This is a field-based role requiring travel across the UK, with regular overnight stays. You will be responsible for providing technical support, training, and demonstrations to customers, ensuring they maximize the efficiency and performance of their CNC machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and training on CNC machine tools to customers.
- Assist in machine demonstrations, showcasing capabilities and benefits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Work closely with clients to optimise machine performance and productivity.
- Deliver on-site training for customers.
- Set up new machines on-site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an Applications Engineer role within the UK Machine Tool industry.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools, particularly turning and milling centres.
- Proficiency in CNC programming (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, or similar controls).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to train and support customers effectively.
- Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
- A relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent) is preferred.
