We are looking for a skilled and proactive Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will provide both mechanical and electrical maintenance support across our production departments, working on a mix of reactive and planned maintenance activities. You will be trusted to make timely, autonomous engineering decisions to diagnose and resolve faults – typically within a two‑hour window – helping to minimise downtime and keep production running efficiently. Alongside this, you will carry out planned maintenance using your experience and data‑led insights to improve machine performance. This is also an opportunity to play a key role in continuous improvement across the site – identifying ways to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Responding to breakdowns and diagnosing faults across mechanical and electrical systems
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities
- Making effective, timely engineering decisions to minimise downtime
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Contributing to a safe, compliant, and well‑organised working environment
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering with mechanical experience, or vice versa
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental practices (HS&E)
- Familiarity with workshop equipment and maintenance tools
- Knowledge of 5S lean manufacturing principles
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Willingness to develop both yourself and others within the team
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Participation in a call‑out rota
