The Department and the Role
We’re looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team in a key permanent role, supporting both credit control and European customer shipments. A rare opportunity has arisen for a permanent Credit Controller to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up all new customer accounts and managing the Company’s debtors. The role will also assist and provide cover for the Shipping and Invoicing Manager.
The ideal candidate will liaise with customers, the sales office, credit insurers and collection agencies to ensure prompt payment of sales invoices, as well as arranging shipments for European sales.
- Previous experience of credit control
- High level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible approach and ability to multitask
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Previous experience of export and customs procedures
Salary: £30,000 per annum
