Job Title: Extrusion Operator Location: Helsby, WA6 0DJ Salary: £11.44 to £12.96 plus shift allowance Job Type: Full time, Permanent Shifts: Must be flexible, work shifts and overtime as required. Currently 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00 / 22:00 – 06:00 rotating each week but with flexibility as this could change. Heat Trace is a manufacturing and engineering company with our headquarters and main manufacturing unit in Helsby Cheshire, we also have two manufacturing facilities at Bredbury, Stockport. The prime activity of the business is the manufacture of highly technical heating cables for use predominantly in the oil and gas and advanced processing industries. About the Role: Setting, operating and monitoring the company\’s main extruder machines Make sure the extrusion machine is running efficiently to maximise output and reduce downtime Verify that manufactured product meets visual, dimensional, and functional specifications Ensure that the correct product is made from the correct material, with the correct product marking and labelling Completing quality checks ensuring that all products leaving the extrusion line complies with the required product marking Record all production data on the relevant, computerised system Take responsibility for own workload, thinking on your own feet, booking in to the company stock systems, labelling products correctly Basic maintenance checks, including die cleaning and decontaminating Quality sampling of finished product About you: Extrusion Operator experience highly desirable Role could suit transferable skills from someone being a machine operator position previously Need to have an eye for detail, able to follow plans, complete quality checks Be a proactive and positive individual Flexible to working rotating shifts and overtime when needed Team player, working in a small team of extrusion setters Ideally have good technical / machine experience and understanding Good communication skills Good numeracy and literacy skills Practical thinking Ability to keep pace, in a high-volume production environment What we can offer you: Cash Health Plan Free on-site parking 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, rising with length of service Company events Company pension scheme Please Note: Previous applicants need not apply.
