A leading Global Lloyds Broker are looking to hire an experienced Technician / Account Handler for their Downstream Energy Division.

The team are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Downstream Energy Insurance Technician to join their dynamic insurance team. In this role, you will manage risk across a wide range of global territories, playing a key part in ensuring the stability and efficiency of their energy insurance portfolio.

As a technician, you will be responsible for handling various technical tasks including but not limited to managing slips, endorsements, MRC’s (Market Reform Contracts), and other technical documentation. You will be working closely with colleagues, brokers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of key insurance-related services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Management: Support the identification, assessment, and management of risks across global downstream energy sectors, ensuring comprehensive coverage and compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Technical Documentation: Manage the creation and processing of slips, endorsements, MRC’s, and other technical documents, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards.
  • Claims & Policy Administration: Assist in the administration and settlement of claims, and monitor policy changes or amendments in response to underwriting requirements.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, brokers, clients, and underwriters to ensure smooth coordination of all technical aspects of the downstream energy insurance process.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Ensure the accurate input and management of data within systems, contributing to the preparation of regular reports on risk exposure, policy status, and financial performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to proactively enhance technical processes and maintain high standards of service.
