We are partnering with one of the UK's leading sustainable water management consultancy companies, as they seek a Business Development Manager, asap. Base circa £45,000 - £60,000 DOE plus uncapped OTE £25,000 - £30,000 plus great company benefits.
This organisation creates efficient and effective approaches to sustainable water management that improve client resilience, reduce risk, drive financial value, and protect this most critical asset for future generations. Founded over 25 years ago, the business has evolved to provide a unique comprehensive set of solutions to help blue chip clients manage this essential asset.
The role has two key aspects: winning new clients and nurturing and growing existing client revenue. You will target markets to create holistic approaches to sustainable water management that deliver business resilience and environmental leadership. As the company grows, there will be plenty of opportunities to develop and expand the role.
This position would suit an experienced sales professional who is looking to expand their career in a consultative sales environment.
You need:
- A successful track record selling in a consultative environment and personally closing B2B deals; ideally subscription sales, into corporates/multi-sited organisations.
You will be:
- Experienced in other utilities or procurement, or target growth sectors (F&B Manufacturing, Retail, Infrastructure, Leisure, Healthcare & Pharma, Universities, Industrial & Manufacturing, Hospitality).
You will have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of quickly building credibility at senior levels.
- Strong networking ability with appetite and gravitas to attend conferences/roundtables and industry forums.
- The ability to diagnose client needs and craft tailored proposals.
- A genuine interest in water and sustainability and demonstrable intellectual curiosity with a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
Location: UK-based with hybrid (home and office) work. The role will require weekly or monthly attendance at the office in West Sussex.
